Panthers Attempt to Win Season Matchup Against Thunderbirds
BSC Basketball Teams Up With Local Charity
The Birmingham-Southern College Panthers men's basketball team will look to even the season series against the Huntingdon College Thunderbirds on Saturday, February 25th. The game is scheduled to tip off at 4:00 PM in Billy Harris Arena.
The Panthers (13-9, 8-5 CCS) are coming off a 79-69 win over the Piedmont College Lions on Wednesday night. Senior guard Trey Jemison led the way for BSC with 22 points, while senior forward Jaylon Jones added 19 points and 10 rebounds.
The Thunderbirds (12-10, 7-6 CCS) are coming off a 75-68 loss to the LaGrange College Panthers on Wednesday night. Senior guard Chris Lewis led the way for Huntingdon with 20 points, while senior forward Justin Coleman added 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Panthers are 1-1 against the Thunderbirds this season, having lost 80-72 in Huntingdon on January 14th. Jemison led the way for BSC in that game with 20 points, while Lewis led the way for Huntingdon with 25 points.
The Panthers are looking to finish the regular season strong and secure a high seed in the upcoming CCS Tournament. A win over the Thunderbirds would be a big step in that direction.
