Flash Flooding Hit Dolly Partons Theme Park In Tennessee On Sunday Forcing Patrons To Flee

Dollywood Evacuated After Flash Flooding

Flash flooding hit Dolly Parton's theme park in Tennessee on Sunday, forcing patrons to flee.

At least one person was injured in the flooding, which was caused by a strong thunderstorm.

Video from inside the park shows fast-moving water rushing through the streets and people wading through the floodwaters.

Pigeon Forge Police said the flooding occurred at the park's entrance, and that Dollywood patrons fled the park as brown water rushed in.

The flooding comes as heavy rain has been falling in Sevier County, Tennessee, where Dollywood is located. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the area.

Dollywood officials said the park is closed until further notice. They are working to assess the damage and clean up the park.
