The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MoHRSD) has announced the official holiday schedule for Eid al-Adha 2024, marking the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
According to the announcement, the Eid al-Adha holiday will commence on Saturday, June 15, 2024, and conclude on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, for government employees. Private sector employees will observe the holiday from Sunday, June 16, 2024, to Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Financial institutions will follow the same schedule as private sector employees.
Eid al-Adha, also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is a significant religious holiday for Muslims worldwide. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to Allah.
